What is the timeline, historically, of contracts like this? The salary cap won't be announced until the end of February, I would doubt much happens before then. Do you wait until after the draft in April? I would think you would want this piece taken care of as early as possible so you can fill in around him.
I hope you're right. It'll also depend on how long of a deal the parties want and how Shanahan feels about him in a situation where they have to do a minor rebuild similar to what the Rams had to do. I actually think that increases his value because I don't think you ever have to worry about him undermining a coach or publicly bashing anything involving the organization. You're probably right and he probably gets something in the Goff realm because the situations are pretty similar. Also, if I'm Brock, given the small history of injuries, that fully guaranteed number is probably worth something.

Brocks going to end up somewhere around 45 million I think. He's not going to reset the market nor do I think he wants to.

Josh Allen is going to be extended later supposedly. That will be significant. Franchise tag is $40+ million. And that goes up every year. Why should Brock sign for millions less and have all the money Brock gives up goes to an overpriced KR/RB like Deebo Samuel? 49ers have spent some money on crazy overpaid people.

Price will be $50 million minimum. And that is a discount. Otherwise the 49ers are sending a message that Brock is not their QB.

Where is this narrative coming from that the 49rs have no offensive talent around Brock?
Who said that? They have a great TE, RB (when healthy), and LT. Aiyuk and Deebo are not great receivers, especially Deebo. If McCaffery is there, he's redundant, if CMC isn't there he's an okay RB and an okay receiver. There's a reason they spent a first round pick on Pearsall.

God, I hate Dallas. If Brock went to the Cowgirls, I’ll never watch him again .
Well don't worry. It makes no sense and I don't see it anywhere else so I think the op is trolling.

The State of Hockey
"Well you know, Brock Purdy ... he looked Mahomes-ish. If you looked at him in college, he did things like Mahomes," Jones said Friday on 105.3 The Fan's "K&C Masterpiece" show. "He did shovel stuff, and he did that. And he wore Oklahoma out. [Former Oklahoma coach] I know Barry Switzer called me and told me, he said that there's a kid up there at Iowa State that has something different. And so, the bottom line is that he does have the ability to make things happen creatively, a unique ability.
I could only find an interview from Jerry talking about Purdy last season.
