Is an average ACT of 25.09 good? That's like 8.09 more than I got.

I remember it going up to 36. I was so excited when I got a 29, then felt bad once I heard my sister got a 35.

30-36 was great
24-29 was good
17-23 was ok
16 or below you basically wrote your name on your ACT.

Those enrollment numbers are great for ISU and great for the state.

Think of how many more fans we'll have and hopefully donors in the years to come.

In hopes of attracting, enrolling, educating and graduating more Iowa students, the University of Iowa launched an initial $765,000 marketing campaign aimed at shaping how residents refer to and perceive the institution. The University of Iowa is becoming the "University for Iowa" in its massive marketing blitz that will spread the UI "story" via multiple channels such as billboards, online video and display ads, social media, and faculty presentations across the state.

They got done with their calculations and it came out to 36k even and they knew that nobody would believe them and would just assume they estimated so they were like **** it, add 1 to it.

Here is a link to a table of ISU's enrollment over the years.

Other than a spike in 2013 of 7% growth, we've had relatively consistent 3-4% growth every year since 2007.

Didnt know that enrollment declined almost every year i was there (03-07).

Not in terms of building new housing although the two towers that are still there (Wallace and Wilson) are at full capacity. From my time of being involved with admissions, I know they are by far the least popular housing options.

Helser has to be up there too. That place was a dump 10 years ago when they were supposed to knock it down.

I was watching the videos of the different dorm options with my sister who is a senior in HS right now... the helser one was depressing. Listen to her voice when she talks about the dresser.

I know nothing of their new President. What's the biggest knock on him besides no experience?

He's not a life long academic and may make the tenured employees actually work to keep their positions. The travesty of it all.

Hey, we're known for science and technology, not math.

The total enrollment includes non-degree seeking students like postdocs who aren't counted as an undergrad, a graduate student, or a professional student
