Bank error not in your favor. Wachovia must have some pretty onerous fees. The interesting question is what does that do to their accounting. 'Well, we had been charging off all of our subprime mortgage losses to Jumbopackage, but he closed his account out, so we've gotta find a new patsie now'.

If anyone read the article, he didn't actually owe the money. The bank messed up big time. The amount he owed was his actual account number.
