Now, here’s a familiar name. Senior offer. Maine West HS. Currently committed to Northern Illinois. CB/WR/S. Listed at 6’2” 170.

Will have to dig more.

Edit: Dad is corner coach at Northwestern.

His dad was very underrated when he played at ISU. He was one of my favorites.

WISCY1895 beat me to it, but here’s the full links. DL Theo Thomas, Totino-Grace, currently committed to UNI.

First three weeks senior season film that earned him the offer posted below.

This may be the fist move towards adapting to the expanded scholarship limits.

(One of those guys we’d rather not play against in ‘28, I think)

Seems to me that they are hitting the DL extra hard with this kid and Dior. That might mean they think Orange is going to declare. But also that they are really liking having a bigger guy like Orange setting the edge in the 3 man front.

They’re probably losing Singleton, so they need at least one true NG. But this kid reminds me more of TO than a pure interior guy. At least at the moment.

And those expanded scholarship limits may be coming into play.

Yeah, I didn't consider Singleton having a covid year, but he does if he wants it. If I were to guess, I'd say we lose both Orange and Singleton after the season...whether it's to the NFL or NIL or in Singleton's case he just wants to move on from college FB. DE only loses Peterson, but we probably get Onyedim, Ezeogu, Jones, Snyder back plus Same and Gilbert. Plus they have 3 DEs coming in with this recruiting class.

It will be interesting to see what they do at NG. Hawk will be back and Alijah Carnell got some snaps already this season. Carter is committed, but he's probably going to need a year to bulk up. I agree that Thomas is more like a TO and Dior more like Singleton. The thing is, their DEs this year were not setting the edge, which forced them to move Orange out there. So, do they continue to go that route or do they go back to a TO/Uwazarike big DE? One things for sure, they are likely going to need another big body ready to play at NG...whether it is a transfer or a JUCO.
