byu. 18-36 against us - 3's.
byu. 6-28 against Houston - 3's.
Live and die by the 3 redefined.
I'm thinking Everyone here, knew that the cougars wouldn't keep it up a day later, no matter the team.
Our defense wasn't great, but still, they had "God on their side" yesterday. Not today, "thank God!"

IIRC, cincy remained a one seed over ISU in the 2000 tournament after Martin went down with a leg injury during Cincy’s conference tournament

I would think Duke is still a 1 seed, but I would love to be on their region if Flagg can’t play in the tournament

The difference between our defense pressure and Houston’s? Length.
And injuries!!

A majority of the bubble teams are done already. A few of them won a game or two but nobody really separated themselves.

I think UNC and Xavier are finished. I'd probably put Oklahoma in Dayton and I think VCU and UC-San Diego deserve the last 2 spots if they don't win their tournaments.

doesn’t mean much but Tech doesn’t look nearly as good as ISU has down two starters (Houston and second BYU game, at least). ISU has size inside which gives them more opportunities for easy buckets, and Heise’s evolution has been huge

your circle of trust is small.

you should have ISU, Tennessee and Maryland on that list.

Maryland's tough but iirc aren't real deep, Tennessee and ISU are a bit Jekl/Hyde and then the injuries.

FWIW I think college basketball is better overall; I'm not sure if I could have found 6 teams to pick as sure things the last few years.

Our game vs byu in Hilton started out just like the Houston game tonight except we couldn’t make any baskets to get a big lead and got frustrated and let them back in. The first 10 minutes of that game byu wanted no part of our defense and were completely rattled they were deer in headlights and had fear in their eyes!! Game should have been over at halftime

One could say Iowa State isn’t very good when there is literally any injury, with a record of 5-7 when “not completely healthy”.

Tech won @ Houston with Toppin (Big 12 POTY) basically missing that entire game. That might be the win of the year.

Not to mention the HC being ejected with him
