Bartelt will likely still be 184. He needs more development before he’s ready to be a threat at 184, and missing this summer will hurt that development. I think Tate or Schon are the current plans for 197

184 Dean Rider is a possibility but he's leaning Va Tech. 197 plan b is Remy Cotton he will be visiting Ames. AJ to Rutgers is a possibility for sure.

Cotton is from Michigan State. Same school as the Graduate Assistant Layne M. And Willie Miklus is the coach there

If the play “IS” Cotton, it does appear it’s a lateral move with Schon already at 197 “on paper”…With that being said would you assume the staff has or will kick the tires on TJ Stewart? Raw talent that needs consistency but has AA before, IMo if the best available is no more than a lateral move do we take more of a chance for a potential higher upside in Stewart?

Was a 10 seed at Big 10's and BBQ'd.. does have upside and 3 years of eligibility to improve.. I'm not sure he beats Schon right away. If anything we learned this past year, it doesn't hurt to have a lateral back up, whether it's Schon or Cotton.

Somebody needs to hook Tate up with a 1/2 cow like Josh Barr from Penn state did last year. He said he got beef from Kasak’s dad I believe to help bulk up to 197. Get that kid some NIL steaks!
