What happened with the whale donor who was gonna do everything possible this transfer season with no budget for ISU
I could see some good wrestlers at PSU, OSU, Iowa ext that leave if some wrestler comes in and takes their spot. If you have to cut the team down to 30 you might see more jump in the portal if they loose their spot to someone in the transfer portal. Look at Casey I think he new it would be a battle to beat AE and PJ. He only beat Jacob Frost by 1 point during their FR year. Frost could have his number now at 141. This will be new for everyone so cutting down to 30 could spread out more good wrestlers. Look at PSU with how good their bench is. Most of the guys on their bench can place. So it will be good to see who the late portal kids will be if someone comes in and takes their spot.
Agree and I hope down the road if Carr ever comes in as the Next HC at ISU what he could do? When ever that could be.DT has recruiting appeal that "dwarfs"Brands. ..

Not sure what the story is with Stanton but only 4 signings were announced in November and there haven't been any press releases about additional signings since.
That kid committed a long time ago, feels like we haven’t heard anything about him since. Same high school as the Vega kid going to Ok State right?

Actually I know a few personally that wrestled there that hate them
I actually think the roster is a lot closer to 30 than the IaWrestle article. I think a few have already decide to stay at Iowa State & give up wrestling or move to CRTC or Club side and there won't be a portal announcement from them.
Yeah I had been waiting for Rohlke to give an update but I recently heard he is done with the CNG now, poor timing there if that’s true. Also very bad indicator for us.
