I think people are sleeping on Connor Euton. If healthy, I think he will be a guy at 165
165 is Euton's weight to lose with the current rosterI like a world where we get both Frost boys in the line up and Riggins continues to develop. Can’t tell me all those guys can’t be on the podium next year. Riggins was in 2 matches with barraclough at conferences.
Chittum scored 1.5 points at NCAA last year. If there is a drop in production with Paniro there it will be minimal.I think paniro will be worse at 157 if that’s what this all means but I guess we get to find out now. Sucks
Maybe he can get his conditioning figured out if he's not cuttingI think paniro will be worse at 157 if that’s what this all means but I guess we get to find out now. Sucks
Even w/Chittum and Swiderski gone, we still have a log jam of good wrestlers at 133-57.
Sure, if they can all hold weight. We also have several others who are probably hopeful of getting in the lineup in that group (Diversent, Grice, Meza, Acklin, Naak).I think
133- Evan
141- Jacob
149 - Ech
157- Paniro
I think this will give Evan the motivation to go 133 for one more year. The Frost boys want to AA togetherI think
133- Evan
141- Jacob
149 - Ech
157- Paniro
I’m not sleeping on the kid I’ve brought his name up plenty in the past. But I don’t know how his recovery is going and he’s got to be on the mat to produceI think people are sleeping on Connor Euton. If healthy, I think he will be a guy at 165
Recovery is going good. Will be on the mat in June-July area. Good kid. Had some nice conversations with him in PhillyI’m not sleeping on the kid I’ve brought his name up plenty in the past. But I don’t know how his recovery is going and he’s got to be on the mat to produce
Best post I've seen on here. Well stated.I am don't think this is nearly as bad as it looks on the surface, but of course depends on who comes in.
Kysen - wasn't going to be the starter and super up and down performances, off the mat issues too
Redding - good kid, wasnt going to be in the lineup and glad he's going to go get a shot somewhere
Swiderski - emotional rollercoaster, reportedly a handfull off the mat and I'm not convinced he makes the lineup next year over Frost/AE
Chittum - wildly up and down performances, has felt disengaged at times, helicopter dad
Carroll - lots more going on there than we know
Stanek/Schmidt/Carlucci - room guys who can go down a level and compete
So either guys who are going to find their opportunity elsewhere, or highly talented guys who can't seem to get it put together for whatever reason (off the mat reasons, injury, consistency, etc.)
We have a roster jam and culturally, the guys who are staying are the workers, the right attitude, etc. Hate on Paniro's style all you want, but that's a great kid and a worker, I'd take 10 Frosts if we could have them, AE has turned his entire career around in Ames, Euton is a grinder, etc.
We've got to make some good adds, but seems like a culture reset of sorts.
My theories have been backing up by everyone entering the portalsimple answer is yes
time will tell i guess but seems like isu current team members are making a statement by entering portal
I think it shows the big names don't always come with big results. Also, the Frosts, and Paniro: I'm not sure anyone saw them as being champion-level wrestlers, but they are.I am don't think this is nearly as bad as it looks on the surface, but of course depends on who comes in.

I don’t think Ech would go 49 he is top tier at 41.
Give me AJF and the Larkin boys then LFG. Throw Facundo on top and I'll kiss Dresser on the mouth.
Think him and Ech both are too small for 157.I think paniro will be worse at 157 if that’s what this all means but I guess we get to find out now. Sucks
But he has wanted to the last 2 yearsI don’t think Ech would go 49 he is top tier at 41.
