I really think everyone needs to stop framing this as Johnson vs Swiderski. We had Frost (possibly 2 Frosts), Swiderski, Johnson, Ech and Chittum to fill 3 weights. None of these are guys who want to sit, and if Swiderski thought he was going to win a spot I do not think he leaves. We need to buckle up because it's likely not the last.
I agree if he knew he could win over the spot or knew it was worth it, he would stay. Upsetting but the truth. We’re not sure what’s going on but I don’t think we can only look at the wrestlers at this point, maybe something else is happening in the program and they don’t like it.

Honestly asking... What indication do we have that there is some bad juju within the wrestling program at this point? We knew (or should have known) that with roster limits, needs at other weights, limited NIL, and the logjam at 141-157 that we would have to lose some good wrestlers in that range. It obviously sucks to lose talented wrestlers, I don't think we have any indication there's some sort of systemic problem at this point.

Log jam. But why have AA leave? My guess money.

If the rumors are true about Casey being a problem in the locker room with drama, he could go elsewhere imo. If he goes to Stallwater, all respect is lost.

Saying CS is full of drama and a head case kinda seems like a coping mechanism at this point. It's no secret we're stacked between 41-57. Being a returning AA, I'm sure he's worth a pretty penny to someone. As much as I'd rather have him, he IS replaceable. Good luck to him and I hope he has to watch us hoist a Big 12 team title trophy next year as well as a ncaa trophy.

Plus likely adding 2 transfers in those weights. Buckle up as this could be a long ride that probably won’t end until early summer.
