if you can get him get him is my opinion figure the rest out later when they wrestle offLol his brother definitely went from 250 to 197 . I believe he's 260. Also odd recruiting him since he would overlap with Peanut for 2 years

Typically wrestling teams dont bring in 2 top 10 guys at the same weight that will overlap 2 years.Still "newish" to the wrestling recruiting compared to college football...If im reading correctly Coby is only a JR currently in HS. Pnut RS next year behind Yonger, and if you bring in a guy like Coby he would RS his first year in and then the 2 would duke it out when Pnut is a RS JR and Coby a RSFR...Doesnt appear in "my eyes" that wouldnt be unrealistic, especially if injures would occur...
Having 2 full ride HWTs isn't really smart not like one can change weightsif you can get him get him is my opinion figure the rest out later when they wrestle off
Pnut wasn't a top 10 guy. He's got a lot of talent, but he was still in the 40-50s as an overall recruit. Coby is a top 10 in the class kid and if you can get him, you get himTypically wrestling teams dont bring in 2 top 10 guys at the same weight that will overlap 2 years.
I disagree. Pnut will be better and you will have a full ride guy sitting regardless. I'm not high on Coby he had 40 lbs on Ross and couldn't do anythingPnut wasn't a top 10 guy. he lost 3-2. and ross is a specimen. youd be hard pressed to find many more athletic than himI disagree. Pnut will be better and you will have a full ride guy sitting regardless. I'm not high on Coby he had 40 lbs on Ross and couldn't do anything
Point being he wasn't able to move Ross around or get him underneath him and was 40lbs bigger. Coby offense isn't great and he's nowhere near the athlete Pnut ishe lost 3-2. and ross is a specimen. youd be hard pressed to find many more athletic than him
Ill agree here, Pnut is def the better athlete. For arguments sake id go after Coby, will see what staff thinks.Point being he wasn't able to move Ross around or get him underneath him and was 40lbs bigger. Coby offense isn't great and he's nowhere near the athlete Pnut is
They're definitely going after himIll agree here, Pnut is def the better athlete. For arguments sake id go after Coby, will see what staff thinks.
Seems like they see something they like then? They're definitely going after him
If you have a chance to get Coby you don’t even think about it you just do itI disagree. Pnut will be better and you will have a full ride guy sitting regardless. I'm not high on Coby he had 40 lbs on Ross and couldn't do anything
Is this the Iowa kid that is transferring? I had never heard of himSorry, just don't think he's shown to be the caliber wrestler we'd be interested in bringing in. I don't see any good wins and he lost to Dylan Whitt

Agreed, there is a way to navigate it. Between a redshirt, potentially an Olympic redshirt option either way, and injuries using the ever so easily accessible med redshirt... You can start to see a path where things work out fine and both get a lot better in the processI think if you can get Merrill, you do. Who is our backup hwt to PNut?
CJ CarterI think if you can get Merrill, you do. Who is our backup hwt to PNut?
I think might be the backup 197 this year. Elam isn't wrestling a full schedule, so who would it be? Tate or Sawyer are definitely options that have been talked aboutCJ Carter
Bartelt seems mostly likely.. not sure what CJs chances would be at making that cut. 97 seems big for Tate. Nando and Hagerty are atill around.I think might be the backup 197 this year. Fair enough, thanks! I need to get more familiar with wrestlestat it appears…Sorry, just don't think he's shown to be the caliber wrestler we'd be interested in bringing in. I don't see any good wins and he lost to Dylan Whitt
