That would be hilarious. I don’t think he would leave after a year he had. Wonder if they will have those talks again
That crossed my mind when Dresses commented that they both need to learn to wrestle better (not his exact words but not far off). Another year in the room and with Durbin and maybe we see 4 nattys from these two. But it would leave some holes next year.

Kerk was a RFr 20-21 so I believe he has a Covid year. Hendrickson is a 4th year Sr but I believe they don't redshirt and doubt they'd offer a covid year.
Just curious. They kept saying kerk was a Sr last night.
Will Keuter fully commit to wrestle or not? Felt like when they threw him to the wolves with Kerk that that was a message
Don’t know if there was any validity but Askren hinted that Hendrickson could be at Mizzou next year.
Would need to get an exemption from Air Force. They do stuff for the pros and Olympics I’ve seen but rare to get one 4 years out. Thought it could happen after two only.

high school class of 2020 are the last to receive a COVID year. For most, their journey will look like this:
20-21 - didn’t count against eligibility, but there was an NCAA Tourney***
21-22 - redshirt
22-23 - rs frosh
23-24 - rs soph
24-25 - rs jr
25-26 - rs sr
If someone gets a medical redshirt in that time we could be seeing Covid years through the 2027 national tournament. I don’t know off top my head if anyone from this class (2020, i don’t believe any did) took an Olympic redshirt this year, but that would also add a year and so could even extend the Covid streak into 2028 national tournament if they took a regular redshirt, an Olympic redshirt, and a medical redshirt.
Anyone entering college as a freshman starting with the 21–22 season and later will not receive a Covid year
***hence how Starocci and Kerkvliet could come back and win a 5th natty each. they were both class of 2019 and redshirted in the 19–20 season, won nationals in 21, and then won again in 22, 23, and 24, as redshirt juniors despite being in their 5th year.

I thought they said the Covid year only counted in 20-21 if you competed. If you redshirted, your redshirt is gone.
I don’t understand how these academy guys can get waivers from the academies to transfer. They have weird rules that go beyond normal ones.
