That looks to be a pretty talented lineup with a lot of highly ranked wrestlers. Any recruits coming in at 125 or 197 or will they look to transfers for those spots?

I’m torn on the possibility of either MJ cutting to 65 or continuing to try to bulk up for ‘74.

Usually I’m a proponent of getting heavier and stronger instead of cutting too much weight.

I’m assuming the potential of a transfer in at 65/74 would impact this as well.

P. Johnson beat Gomez and others last year. He is the real deal and got screwed on the gambling. But he is good and a finalist for sure at 149. Has to be in the lineup. Chittum is a 157. Kids should want to wrestle for this staff. 125 and 197 are needs. Even though we got Sawyer coming in. Love the Ames HWT. But will he play football?

Casey will redshirt. P. Johnson will be in the lineup. It is a no brainer.

My guess...

#1 or 2 at Big12
#3 at Nationals. At least one thrown headgear and a critical match lost by called/not called stall call.

125 Qualifier (Perryman or transfer or Kysen since he does in fact have more eligibilty - edited)

133-157 all top 5 finishes and whichever Ech fills will be championship match.

165 Qualifier up to 7th place (Euton or a bump up out of the gridlock at 157/149).

174 top 5

184/197... wouldnt be surprised with some portal help here (even if only 1 of the 2 weights)... Give Bartelt, Naak, Hagarty, and Nando another year to develop?
