Those who've described Brock as dink and dunk, system, weak arm, YAC merchant, not elite, beneficiary of those around him, etc. only show their ignorance of football. It's amusing to watch them move the goalposts every Monday morning.

I have one piece of advice for all these people:
It's okay to admit you were wrong. Really, it's okay.

It's amazing how many people have been sucked into this ******** narrative. People I've watched that are usually pretty reasonable and thoughtful in their takes just lose all sense of reality when it comes Brock. He's making incredible throws every week.

I wish some of these talking heads would just step back and really think about who they're talking about when analyzing what Brock is doing. He's been in the league less than two years and his anticipation and understanding of the game is way ahead of a lot of QBs who have been in the league for years. Which is why I think they talk about him as if he's been in the league for years. They never put qualifiers on him like they do CJ Stroud. With Stroud they always say things like "and remember he's only a rookie!" after talking about some amazing thing he's done, but they never, ever say anything like that with Brock. The expectations they put on him as far as what they want to see or if he has a throw that's not perfect, it's as if they're talking about a guy who's been in the league for 8 years. It's really mind blowing the mental gymnastics some people will do to minimize what he's accomplished in the short time he's been in the league.

If social media was around back then, people would have been saying the same thing about Kurt Warner. He didn't even get drafted. And he had weapons that were better than the 49ers. Of course, when he won the SB, it all kind of went away. Then he took the Cardinals to the SB and the narrative was completely gone.

The Purdy haters like to bring up all of the talent around him. I guess Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts and Tua play with a bunch of crappy players.

Jalen Hurts plays with the best offensive line in football and barely gets touched. Purdy's offensive line is below average even with a future HOF'er in Trent Williams.

At this point it's people that don't know what they are talking about doubling down and being willing to look stupid all the way down. It doesn't matter. Every stat, especially those that show that he is more of a downfield thrower than Aaron Rodgers and Mahomes in their MVP seasons. At this point it isn't an opinion any more. Right at this moment, Purdy is an elite NFL quarterback. If he isn't then nobody is or has been in the past 5 seasons. There are a ton of factors, and I'm not saying I would take him over any other QB, but right now he is undeniably playing at elite QB level.

Trent Williams in the best player in football.
I went up to the niner/viking game. Williams didn’t play that night and was walking around somewhat interacting with fans pregame. I cannot emphasize enough what an absolute mountain of a man that guy is.

After watching that interview, I thought boy it’d be fun to heard someone like Collin Cowherd try and tell Trent Williams that Brock is a system QB to his face.

Yup. A lot of people digging in on a dumb position they took a year ago, without any data. Because the one thing one must never do in punditry is ever admit your initial impression was incorrect.

How did Tua and the Dolphins look last night when the cheetah went down with injury. It's the same for every QB in the league. If they don't have good players surrounding them they can't play like an mvp.

THill going down didn't help him, but I feel like he's still in the race. Lamar is 3rd but could go on a run if he wins out. Josh Allen could too if the Bills start winning, but let's be honest, they won't. Aside from that it's Purdy/Dak, and to get ratings, it'll be a talking point between the two up until they announce the winner. I'm sure people think Dak deserves it, but still kind of sad that he's been in the league for so long and is still looking up at a rookie who essentially finished playing his 1st full season of professional football.

And the head to head between Purdy and Dak was pretty clear, IMO the Cowboys would have to finish with a better record than SF for Dak to win if it's just down to those two.

Agreed, it's a point I don't see many shock-jocks make (I only see Chris Broussard make that point).

Brocks got less TD passes, though has thrown 80 passes less than Dak. Otherwise the stats are pretty substantial for Purdy.

I actually think Tyreek going down and the Dolphins looking like they did when he was out of the game strengthens Tyreek's MVP candidacy. If he gets to 2k, the 49ers win out and Brock plays well, and the Cowboys finish the year 3-1 with Dak playing well, I think the voting goes as follows:

1. Brock
2. Dak
3. Tyreek (but I'd put Tyreek above Dak)

All the dolphins really needed to do was to keep handing the ball off to mostert and achane. They were moving the ball well on the ground last night. They went away from it the offense stalled.
