Good story about Dana Altman, Oregon men's basketball coach. I saw him in the SF airport, and I was headed home to Oregon (we were in the same part of the terminal, he was going to Eugene and I was going to Medford).

I asked him if his team was going to be any good this year. He said "ya never know, but we hope so". I said, "I went to Iowa State, and they are going to be ******* good this year". He smiled and walked away, and I think maybe it was 2014 or 2015. Good times....

What kind of fantasy world is he living in. The only NBA he will ever play in is the National Bulgarian Association.

He was in some mock drafts last year, he'll have a chance.

There had been some "smoke" in the last year or so that he could retire soon. Guessing as the season got closer he just felt like he didn't have the energy to go through another full season.

Also might have waited till now so that one of his assistants gets a shot to prove themselves this year and then maybe get the full time gig.

Who will they target. Even though he’s said he’s done you gotta take a swing at Jay Wright don’t you? Maybe he’s done with cbb as it’s become too.

Jay Wright has made it perfectly clear that if he's going to coach guys getting paid, it's going to be the NBA because everyone has the same rules and he put the chances of him coaching in the NBA at less than 1%. Got away and didn't really miss it.

This is Tony saying '**** you' to the lack of controls and making sure his top assistant (Ron Sanchez who already failed at Charlotte) gets another chance.
