Nebraska will get to a bowl game next season I think.

That's top 86 teams or whatever so not much better than Top 68.

Being NEBRASKA will never happen again though.
I guess I equate just making a bowl in football to the NIT in basketball.

More "bracket geekery" than anything.

AAC is mildly intriguing. Most likely a one-bid league for at-large, but South Florida currently leads standings, defeated FAU today, would be auto-bid if this were Selection Sunday.

FAU so far is semi-safe for at-large, but seed line has been dropping lately.

Charlotte is 2nd in standings.

SMU's NET is 41, crushed fringe-bubble Memphis, 106-79. Although SMU's NET level is notable, not sure it's actual profile would be at-large material, but it'll be in discussion.

The NCAA appears to have Big 10 bias. Currently, counting Ohio State loss at a Quad 1 loss for Purdue, yet Ohio State is ranked #64 in the NET.

For comparison ISU has a Quad 2 loss to Virginia Tech who's NET rank is #62.

Texas coach basically admitting SEC is softer than Big 12 is both right and funny Coming from Texas.

There is more weight given to road games than neutral site games

That is correct.

Q1 Road Games - Home team above 75 in Net
Q1 Neutral Games - Teams above 50 in Net
Q1 Home Games - Away team above 30 in Net

Aren't true road games counted differently than neutral games?

On Torvick the Big 10 is ranked as the 2nd best conference behind the Big 12. I'm not saying they are good, but that's the facts.

You mean Baylor?

KU lost in the 2nd round in '21.

Won it in '22. They were cruising at the end of that season.
Think he means '20?

KU was really good that year and could have easily won the natty if the tournament had been played.
Yes, when the tournament got cancelled 3/2020.
  • 17-1 in the conference
  • 8 pros deep
  • Bill Self coaching
  • 1 "bad" game all season
  • 12-2 away and neutral site record; Losses were by 2 to Duke and 1 to Nova, both in 2019
