Depending how well Trader Rick works his magic to move up in round 2, I hope he lands either one of these Safeties-- Jevon Holland, Oregon or Richie Grant, UCF.

First round 3 pick go after one of these Edges-- Carlos Basham, Wake Forest or Ronnie Perkins, Oklahoma.

I might add the Texas guy to your edge list.

Oweh is one of the fastest and most athletic defensive ends ever, but his production in college was very poor. He's a project player for sure. Tampa has a stacked roster and could take him at 32, develop him for the next couple years.
So, I’ll ask you. With that run on ends at the end (no pun intended) of the first round, how many teams still have needs at end? Aside from the Vikings, of course.

Just curious how far some of the remaining guys there might free fall. Probably not to the territory Danielle Hunter was picked, though.

Teams will consider taking edge rushers, whether they have a pressing need or not. It's a premium position. Minnesota is a good example. Even when they had Hunter and Griffen, they still seemed to take one or two edges every year.

I love the Bears move. I think Fields is the second best QB in the draft. There were some strange picks but there usually is.

Agree. When he was coaching, Bud Grant always said the most important and toughest position to hit on was DE.
Bud would probably say it's second to QB now with the way the game has changed.

I would assume Ojulari, Basham and possibly Ossai are gone pretty early 2nd round. Edge is always a need in today's NFL. Also one of the easier positions for immediate impact.

Chargers finally drafted an O lineman and looks like they got a good deal at #13.

This. A kid I like is Elerson Smith from UNI. He needs a year as a backup to develop and learn to play with a hand in the ground, but he could be a great NFL pass rusher. If Minnesota can grab him in round 4 that would be excellent.

I hope Jacksonville takes the Penn State TE at 33. They need a safety really bad but go all in on offense and take a safety with their other 2nd round pick.

I expect the Jets or Miami to take Javonte Williams early since Harris and Etienne are both gone.

Will Seattle trade up for a tackle? They would have to trade a pick next year since they have nothing to trade this year, but it would be smart to show Wilson that they are committed to protecting him.

Possible 2nd rd QB picks? ... Mills to Denver, Trask to New Orleans and Mond to Tampa?
