Can one of you agronomy/ turf grass management grads explain why the greens at Augusta look so bad? Lots of green and brown blotches.
I believe they dried them out in preparation for the rain that's coming. Not sure if it was to depress scores today or to keep this weekend from getting out of hand. The boys shredded the place six months ago.Can one of you agronomy/ turf grass management grads explain why the greens at Augusta look so bad? Lots of green and brown blotches.

It's not much but look at the speck of sand that is sticking up a bit behind the ball. On his take away when he goes to hit the actual shot he flattens the sand that was sticking up down some. I think it is ridiculous but that's the rule.I have **** eyesight and might be a little drunk but I don't even see him touch the sand

I read they changed the rule on this so it has to be visible to the naked eye. I can't imagine the intent of that was "visible to the naked eye while zoomed in X10000 and in super slow motion."
What a dumb rule. If I were Ancer I'd be going through the footage of every bunk shot taken and submitting them all for review. Because I'm sure something this minimal happens at least a dozen times per round.
Small sample thus far but scoring looks pretty good.
