Better go all in on the kid and close him early. Columbus is a powerhouse in Miami, which means every big time school in the southeast visits them. He will have 50 offers by his junior year if he ends up as good as everyone is making him out to be.

His uncle being inducted into the HOF as a Cyclone has to make him excited, especially since his had played here too. Get these guys more involved with the Cyclones Matt!

He has offers from us and Notre Dame right now, but once Miami offers it will be tough for us to land him. If anyone has contact with the new staff, Darren said he and Troy are wanting to come up to a game and see the new facilities. Darren was disappointed that CPR never invited him up. How cool would it be to have a new set of Davis brothers in the backfield?

i screen shotted this post and sent it to Campbell and Manning on Twitter, and Manning followed me now, so they are at least aware now. And it got me a follow!

Found highlights of a game from when Darren Jr was in 6th grade and he is by far the most athletic kid on the field. Check out the wicked spin move at the 1:08 mark. Remind you of someone?!?!

I just watched the video of DD Jr. Kid is a shifty lightning bolt. VERY talented. Unbelievably talented.

That said, I couldn't help but think...what the hell are 6th graders doing playing tackle football? With the research coming in about CTE it is indefensible that little kids are doing so.

I watched some of the runs in the HUDL link that someone posted earlier in this thread. He runs like a carbon copy of Troy

Do some schools pick up the airfare tab? Is that what they are waiting for?

Wouldn't that be a recruiting violation for any school since their is a good football playing son?????

The sequence of moves and broken tackles at 3:35 is nutty. The kid is talented, that's for sure.

Big shoes for him to fill, but it would be pretty cool to have another Davis in Ames. Quite a legacy.

Thought he was 2019 class . . . is that wrong? Hope it's 2019, gives this staff more time to prove how good it can be. Legacies are terrific to have, hope we can prove worthy. We can, if we have enough time before he chooses.
