The injuries this is the second year. Players returning on both sides of the ball like this it's the first year. And I'm not saying it's legitimate, but it is a way to sell hope.

Here is hope. Lean Forward to UNI game!!!! Let the wins begin. Start small and grow your team. Onto Iowa and Toledo. Hit them getting off the bus. Crush the invaders. Win a conference game against KU. Show them who is boss.

The first 35,000 season tickets sold get a new Mercedes. Outside of that........vendors in Hooters outfits? What.........cyclone pride? Please....we have no tradition, remember?

I laugh at anyone calling next years home schedule "favorable". After watching the last two years, it takes balls to call any football game "favorable".

Those first to games are going to be filled with PantherHawks. Fun.

Firing CPR or Wally. I'm expecting 4 wins as a ceiling next year. I don't see how our schedule is more favorable next season. We play the same exact one from this year, just UNI instead of NDSU and we won 2 games. It would be a bigger deal to me if we were beating teams at home, but since we weren't I don't see how that helps us at all. If Wally and CPR both stay then next season will be the first year that I would have 0 interest in football for an entire season.

One bit of hope is that if all of the coaches stay the offensive system will not change for once. Each of the past 3 years was a different system basically. The O-line system Kleinakis brought last year changed a lot and then Mangino changed the offense again (which was needed). With the limited practice times I think they had to spend too much time learning the offense that hopefully they can start using to improve. That alone should bring some improvement because the offense has to get better. If Mangino can make the offense start to click I think that the defense will be improved because there will be a lot less pressure.

I don't think you can sell hope for next year. That's how bad of a state the football program is in right now.

Just got back from the game...this looks to be the right answer. This is as bad, if not worse, than anything I've seen since I started following Cyclone FB in the mid 1980's. You've got guys taking tackling angles and coming up 10 (and sometimes more) yards short. I assume that's happening in part because of coaching, and in part because ISU's offense is lacking players with Big 12 caliber speed for the defense to practice against. And it just gets worse from there. Getting a few starters back from injury doesn't fix that.

The hope is our defense has 6-7 new starters next fall that are Big12 caliber defenders.
The hope is our DB's play press coverage much more
The hope is our OL is very much improved w/o Farniok.
The hope is another year under Mangino means the offense can score 35+ppg
The hope is Warren is a stud RB
The reality is Jamie hopes fans will pay big money to watch bad football, at least one more year

The change will be more rushing yards.
The change would be a fiery start to a game.
The change would be an accurate passer.
The change would be better linebackers.

I just hope they have something to play for in October/November next year.
I'm excited for our receivers and safety's. Getting Bundrage back will help if they Sam can get them the ball.
I don't know what Mutcherson did but I assume frustrations took over because we sucked. I really liked him and Cotton-Moya and hopefully we can find some help for them.
I'll buy tickets again regardless.

You know what you shouldn't do after 5 wins in 2 seasons? Raise the already high ticket prices.

Oh, we are doing just that? Nevermind, carry on.

Not sure, there are so many things that need fixing that you can't think a few returning players and a tweak here and there is going to do much.

Some of you younger folks might live long enough to see this turnaround but I am feeling like the old folks I saw at the 2000 bowl who probably thought they would never get another chance to go to a decent bowl after the the 1970's. I have given up.

Fortunately I like following our other sports including the non-revenues that we don't suck at like volleyball and cross-country.

Don't jinx them!
