I'm no attorney, which is probably painfully obvious by this question. I know this is a suit for athletes and potential lost earnings, but if this is found to be an illegal search, doesn't that open the door for every person who was inside those geofences to also sue on a civil rights violation?

Good question. I've had the same thought. Clearly the lawyer is using the real numbers of loss wages for Enyi (and potentials, etc) and probably producing a very nice spreadsheet of "lost opportunity" for the other athletes (like Brock...sure, he may not have been the next Breece...but we will never know, etc). Then start throwing in "pain suffering," reputational damages, etc...phew, that list gets long.

Kind of like the "you own a XYZ Amazon product....it may have collected your info without you knowing...you may be eligible for a settlement" types of class action suits. Even if your personal info wasn't used, they had it therefore you get something.

a buddy of mine is school district attorney for over 25 years , he swears they will get this over a quick as possible with all receiving a nice $ amount and won't see the inside of a court room
