Not very active, but here is a message board with at least some reaction: TNET: It's official: Clemson to face Iowa State in 2021 Cheez-It Bowl - Clemson Football Forum - TigerNet
As soon as I saw the spacing and unselfish passes early in the Kenesaw St game, I knew I was already sold on TJ and back to being excited to watch Cyclones BB.
Agree, Madison is phenomenal. I lived in College Station for 2 years and it is nothing compared to Madison. Ames has a way better gameday than College Station.
They won't and I don't want them to. I'm just pointing out that there are a lot of options out there. The Big 12 remained a very strong conference with only 10 teams after NU, A&M, UM and CU left, despite predications to the contrary, and ISU was an important part of that.
Gene Smith?!? How about Jamie's relationship with Barry Alvarez, the Big 10's Special Advisor for Football?

"The Athletic is reporting that the AAC is expected to "act as an aggressor" and attempt to pick up remaining Big 12 teams, "perhaps as a group."

THIS! The idea that the B1G would wait until the equivalent of UT and OU are looking for a new home would be completely idiotic! That may never happen again ever.
I've seen similar articles coming from Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State media, all saying that ISU would be a good fit for the B1G. If this all goes down, then I think we are in a good position to jump.
The Federal government has a 35 year backlog of media and business monopolization that needs to be dealt with, which is going to make it difficult for them to jump into college football. It may happen, but it won't happen fast.
Perspective from Columbus OH:
"In my opinion, Iowa State is a perfect fit for the Big Ten. They sit squarely in the middle of the conference’s West division and they already have a standing rivalry with Iowa. They could easily develop one with Minnesota, Wisconsin, and rekindle pleasantries...
This is right on. People are putting way too much stock into what people are posting on message boards. Look at what the local media markets are saying! That shows what the powers that be are thinking.
I live in the heart of Big 10 country and the media coverage I've been seeing is positive for ISU joining the B1G. Unlike when the Big 12 imploded a decade ago, this time around people seem to think it makes a lot of sense to add ISU. They might not like the idea in Iowa City, but in Ann...
Their confidence and poise is something we've definitely never seen at ISU. Oklahoma will come out completely geared up in the championship game, and while past ISU teams would have melted, these guys will maintain composure. It's so fun to watch!
