I feel like no one does that anymore. You can be more flexible with your body sliding head first going home need be
You risk injury sliding head first into home. Broken fingers, wrist, shoulders, concussion. Smart decision is feet first. They actually told Seiya to stop sliding head first into second for that very reason.

Saw a girl at a softball game in DSM a year or two ago slide head first into second and did something to her spine. They had to have an ambulance come get her. Think she was ultimately ok but she wasn’t moving while she was there.

Man...palencia has such a good arm...but his slider doesn't slide much and he still struggles throwing strikes consistently
