~Train them, feed them, educate them, house them, nurture them, before they play a down, in addition to spending massive $$ to recruit them
Then they bail Good gawd~
~Previous poster is correct.
I'll wait to check the depth chart the night before wheels-up to Dublin.

KSU should just wave the white flag. That could and should settle it.

Not that this will happen.

This is in poor taste.

If you're going to leave can you at least find a team that doesn't play in our league?

I can't wait for the powers that be to put rules on this crap. It is sort of laughable at this point. The NFL draft showing highlights of guys who played at three schools constantly. It is NOT beneficial to the athletes to have it set up with no rules.
They were likely recruited over. They may pan out and end up being studs for them, but our staff moved on just like they did. It goes both ways. Besides, they are from California. I am generally surprised when we get someone from there in the first place. Their student population is comprised of a LOT of CA kids that either want to go there or don't get accepted into a CA university.

My nephew went to Arizona State. It ended up not being for him. but he said the campus and classes were nice, and he confirmed that the coed scene was a positive.

I don’t know that I’d go that far, but they were very quickly replaced with 2 good underclassmen OLs.
I would.

Especially as Blum mentioned, one of the two was much better than the other. Kind of like the Baileys, apparently.

Personally I feel better about one or both of those replacements being a contributor down the line than the chance that both of the twins had at contributing. And both are possibly OT prospects, which frankly I prefer.

when it was mentioned that he was "not missed", was that because he never ended up contributing or was it that he had worn out his welcome here?
I believe it was the contribution factor. I believe on a pod, CW mentioned reconnecting/bumping into his dad somewhere. Seems like he was good people

Ummm…no?

Council Bluffs’ Garret Rutledge is a sleeper kid the coaches are excited about. Nevada’s Carson Rhodes is impressing. Will Tompkins (early enrolled) had scholarship offers from all over the place.

There’s a rising ‘27 kid, Will Slagle, from Grinnell everyone is after—and he’s not the only one.

And Tyler Miller is looking like a ‘26 draft pick.

Why do people just make up stuff wholesale to get upset about?
We keep recruiting guys like Rhodes and Rutledge with no other offers; we hear how staff is excited about them in the Spring and then we never hear about them again until the transfer or quit. I'm more excited about Tompkins and Kuol Kuol.

On what planet is this?

Your statement is arrant nonsense, with zero relation to reality.

Which OL recruit from IA with no offers has really contributed? They talked about the kid from Grinnell being a contributor. he's gone. Peterson didn't do much.
When I actually see one of these guys in the line and playing at least to an average level, then I'll believe!

Tyler Miller has been fine for us, but unless he takes an astronomical leap this year…he won’t be drafted

Jim Bonifas is a pretty good OL recruit from Iowa. I don't know if he had other offers, if i reall correctly he may have been the first commit in his class.

These guys were recruited over end of story.
This sounds like hawk fan justification. Reality is at least one of the Heltons would have gotten some snaps this year. They were mentioned by the staff a few times recently just prior to their decision to leave. Now it’s true that we replaced them with possibly two overall better prospects but to say they were recruited over is probably too much.
