I honestly don't think it went too far. Obviously a heavy subject matter for Star Wars but it wasn't graphic at all and she stood up for herself and killed the guy. Hopefully Bix gets a happy ending out of all this because she's had it rough in this story.I will say there was a scene in episode 3 that’s going to spark some debate. They pushed it pretty far for what I usually expect in Star Wars. Guarantee there will be people upset they went that far. Personally they could have had plenty of the reaction they were going for without going so far

Probably not a lot of happy endings in this story. I guess we know Mon Mothma survives. That's about it.Well, she wasn’t in Rogue One. So maybe she walks away, but odds aren’t in her favor.
Yes, but I'm not rooting for the bad guy. Bad people with power standing up to ****** people doesn't make them a hero. It just makes them more comfortable exercising that power against others.I really enjoyed watching Dedra drop the hammer on Cyril’s mom. That was awesome.
Only previously known character for sure, but it certainly won't be without a cost. Unless she has some sort of staged public fallout with her husband and daughter, there's a good chance they end up dead or at least prisoners after she openly declares rebellion.Probably not a lot of happy endings in this story. I have a feeling they are going to turn their backs on her at some point because they enjoy their posh lifestyleOnly previously known character for sure, but it certainly won't be without a cost. I'm certain they don't feel they same way about the Empire as she does, but she does seem to still care for them. The Emperor would have no reservations about holding them as political prisoners just to hurt Mon Mothma.I have a feeling they are going to turn their backs on her at some point because they enjoy their posh lifestyle
I'm not sure how it will play out, but they've been setting up her husband as kind of an empire sympathizer from the start.I have a feeling they are going to turn their backs on her at some point because they enjoy their posh lifestyle
Also feel like they set up some tension with her and the daughter as wellI'm not sure how it will play out, but they've been setting up her husband as kind of an empire sympathizer from the start.
I get that. Probably more of a personal thing for me. I despise people like the mom who think they can boss others around and try to control someone else’s life.Yes, but I'm not rooting for the bad guy. Yeah, it was slow. Look, I loved S1 and actually my favorite parts weren’t really the battles. They were the prison and the Mon Mothma scenes and the ISB.Was it a “slow plot” or were there just not enough things going boom? Not every episode needs or deserves to be breakneck, action-packed. Gotta let that pot simmer if you want your soup to develop more flavor.
I'm with you. Seeing an overbearing parent get put in their place is satisfying to anyone who knows or had a parent like that. They are humanizing Dedra and Syril by telling you why they are damaged and do awful things while also showing they are capable of caring for each other and standing up for each other. It will be interesting to see what they do with this cute little fascist couple.I get that. Probably more of a personal thing for me. She has significantly more power than Syril's mom and she chose to flex it. Humanizing her would be telling off the mom without essentially threatening the uncle. All she did was say was I have a big stick, shut up or I'll use. She's just as much as a bully as the mom and was that way to Syril before Ferrix. After he saves her, she gets all weak in the knees and decides that a fanatically devoted live-in booty call was something she was now ok with. Maybe we are seeing her line with the Ghorman project, but she's shown no reservations about taking whatever actions she deems necessary to keep Empire safe. Just because she doesn't kick kittens all the time, doesn't make her any less evil.I'm with you. I didn't say it made her a good person or forgives the bad things she has done, but I'm sorry, what they are doing with them is the very definition of humanizing them and making them relateable in the story. She has significantly more power than Syril's mom and she chose to flex it.
