I'm confused about Ferrari based on his post-match interview at NCAA's. I have had a very bad opinion of Ferrari and did not expect to hear him talk like a church boy. Is that genuine?
Only AJ knows if it is genuine or not, but I know it had to be tough going from freshman national champ on top of the world to falling where he did. Maybe he did find his faith during that. A lot of the gimmicky stuff he does is for social media to drive interest in wrestling and himself, and it does drive interest in the sport. I certainly hope he is a different man today than he was in Stillwater.

Not exactly sure.

They believe they have a deep faith, their actions around wrestling seem to make it a belief of a belief but maybe outside the wrestling room AJ does? Not sure.

Absolutely not.

I voted "No" only because "Hell no!" wasn't an option.

Early returns on the poll are against taking him, but I'm still surprised at the number voting yes. Everyone is welcome to their own opinion, I get that, but it's still wild to me how many are willing to sell their soul and risk it all crashing down just for a few more points at 197. Fairly disappointing.

At the end of the day, that's what I will be: disappointed. Doesn't mean I will start hating the coaches or cheering for the team. I'm just a guy expressing an opinion. No more or less.

I'd watch it again. Maybe look beyond his words and see what impression you get.

Since we only had 1 AA this year and 197 was pretty much an automatic loss. I vote yes.

It's one year with unfortunate luck that bucked a clear upward trend. No reason to throw out the baby with the bathwater.

I voted “yes”, but agree with this too. I don’t know Dresser personally, like some on this board, but I get the feeling he wants grinders who live and breathe wrestling. AJ, while he does have baggage, I believe fits the “grinder/live and breathe wrestling” mold.
Hopefully, they have some infrastructure money in the budget. Him and Yonger training in the room every day... those walls are going to need reinforced.
