A) I would hope Matt wouldn't bring in a guy who's been booted from 2 other teams for very good reasons.
B) I was thrilled when AJ went to the toe. Couldn't wait for the implosion. Happened way to soon unfortunately. Was hoping he'd do a little more damage.
C) Don't want him doing his damage here.
D) We would be a laughing stock for appearing to be so desperate that we'd alow this guy on our team. AND pay him on top of it? Horrible look.
E) You risk losing current guys, possible future transfers and recruits. Nobody worth a dam will want to be on the same team as him.

I think some of these guys are casualties of the 30 man roster limit that is supposed to be coming. I get it but i hate it.
We can be a laughing stock while we hoist a Big 12 title trophy and 2nd place NCAA trophy or we can be completely forgotten about and irrelevant while we're in 27th place at the NCAA's.
Would I love the idea of him here? No. But am I willing to give him a chance after he's shown some kind of change of course this last year? Absolutely

Downey behaved himself for a semester or so too. After seeing AJ's interview and double split show at the Nationals, well, there are some things you can't change. But I'm not the coach.

It is tough to get the best recruits when going against PSU & now Ok State in addition to NIL. Have to get creative, which is where we have 3 Cubans on the roster
I don't know where you've been the last 4 years, but yes. The "old fashioned way" will get us top 10...maybe. A mixture of development AND money AND high level transfers will keep us in the top 5.
It’s not tough, it’s impossible. The top recruits and transfers will go to Iowa, PSU, Michigan, or OSU. There is just no way around it.
You’re 100% right you get creative. AJ is the guy that those big teams might shy away from because of his past. ISU wants to win, he is the kind of guy we need.
Lots of people want Novak or Elam, but Iowa has needs at 197 and they get top pick. Just is what it is.
I’ve said this before and I’ll reiterate, if AJ causes a few guys to leave, what do you gain? (Not saying any would, but surely there would be some disruption).
Sure, you get a surefire top 4 guy at 197, unless you’re putting 3 or 4 others on the podium it is absolutely not worth it.

Both wrong, tell that to Nebraska who just got second at nationals and it wasn't even close. You don't need to buy shady characters to be good at wrestling.
