Also, Casey beating Mendez was great but they are 2 very different wrestlers now. Casey was also quite a bit bigger than Mendez during those matches. I wanted Casey to stick around, but not everyone is fine with sitting in today's day and age.
Yeah and there was a log jam too. I hate seeing Casey leave but I always thought someone had to transfer out

Just being honest, I’m gunna have a hard time supporting the team next year if Ferrari is in the lineup.

Not hating on anyone who feels differently, I honestly get it. He’d make us better but I personally just cannot stand the guy and his family.

It’s like if your favorite NFL team signed Aaron Rodgers. How can you make yourself like someone who is such a toolbag?

I did it and it was hard, but he sucked. It would have been a lot easier to swallow if he had led them to the playoffs.

Are these numbers normal? I expected a lot more, especially with roster limits

I fully understand this. I’m on the opposite side I would be glad if AJ came to Iowa state. When Echemendia came with his stuff not to many people were to thrilled. I feel like Dresser and his staff could help AJ with his off the mat issues like what they did with Ech I feel AJ would be a great fit.

Remember when we were all cheering for this to happen (Iowa) because it would surely end in disaster? Now that there are rumors of mutual interest, all of a sudden he would be a good fit at ISU?

I’m not as plugged in as some on here, but what has changed? Yeah he was a little quieter this year, but he was at CSUB. He had no choice.

I don’t want his roid rage dad anywhere near Ames.

What’s changed is. I think AJ Ferrari knows he don’t have any other chances left to make a big mistake. Iowa was never a good fit when you look at it because look at their coaches and how dumb they act. They made AJ worse in his attitude in how dumb they acted. AJ is a loud mouth and he will always be. I personally think it’s good for the sport to have a guy like that. The fit with our coaching staff and Chris Perry who has coached AJ I think it would be a good fit.

You make a really good point with Ech. I do think one key difference is that Ech really seemed to atone for what he did. Always seemed like a good guy who made a terrible mistake.

AJ on the other hand, not so much. Kinda seems like it’s just part of who he is.

Ech and AJ just carry themselves completely differently. I’m not making excuses for Ech at all, just explaining why I was able to pretty quickly get on board with him.

If Carroll is leaving, is Perry sticking around?

Completely overlooked the fact of Perry being at tOSU when Ferrari would have been there…seems to keep adding up kinda nervous about that reality

This is what I have been thinking . Is this about his connection with Perry. If I remember correctly Perry was the coach who went to the hospital the night of his accident, coached the upper weights and probably recruited him.

Edit : Appears this was misinformation spreading from the Iowa board to other boards and social media -
Looks like McEnelly may be entering the portal , nothing official just smoke far.
