A little food for thought. Obviously, there has been a lot of news about Clark, breaking the NCAA women’s scoring record. They’re talking about how she could break the all-time NCAA record held by pistol Pete Maravich. What nobody talks about is the fact that Maravich set the record while only playing three seasons as the NCAA did not allow freshman to compete on the varsity level back then. During his three seasons of playing for LSU, he averaged over 40 points per game. Then you also have to take into account that when Woodard played, the three-point shot was not in existence.

K-State gets a post-basket transition layup with :02 left to beat UCF, 60-58, in Manhattan.

Now a 3-game gap (with 4 to play) between 4th and 5th in the Big 12.

The double byes appear to be just about set, in some order -- OU, UT, KSU, WVU -- which would put ISU starting on day 2 (Friday) in KC.

Lee appears to be a DNP for K-State. They're in a low-scoring tussle with UCF, in Manhattan.
Per the ESPN article:

The Wildcats need a healthy Ayoka Lee, who missed Saturday's game with a right-ankle injury. Lee missed six games with an injury to her left ankle before playing Wednesday against Iowa State. She injured her right ankle in the second quarter against the Cyclones, but finished the game scoring 20 points in a double-OT loss. She is listed as day-to-day.

Holy hell, through the first three quarters against Baylor, Tech scored 4, 9, and 5 points respectively. BU won 61-32. Tech's starters combined for 18 points, including two who didn't score at all. They turned the ball over 29 times versus making 13 field goals.

Finally got to see JuJu Watkins of USC play. And, of all places, at a sport bar in a resort that had the Pac 12 TV on a screen. So, of course, she had a terrible game. 18 pts but on 6-32 shooting. Added 11 rebounds. USC won but I gotta give Oregon credit, they played some good defense, especially Talia von Oelhoffen on Watkins.

Noticing in the current Big 10 standings that there are EIGHT of their teams who are oh-fer against ranked opponents (Illinois was the 9th until their win today). That's 0-37 against the AP top 25 so far this season. Four other Big 10 teams have beaten a ranked opponent just once. Ohio State and Iowa have combined for seven top 25 wins. That league is way down this year. Even 3rd place Indiana has been blown out by at LEAST twenty points in three of their four losses. Keep it going, Buckeyes. You're probably the only thing standing between the hoks and another (undeserved) Big 10 title for Frau Bluder.

Big 12 scoring leaders. Crooks up to #4 and Brown clocks in at #15. Six freshman in the Top 15. Who do you leave off the All-freshman team that only has five slots?
