Did he really say they are going to take Sunday and Monday off, come back on Tuesday, then take Weds off, and then work on KSU on Thurs and Friday?

I can see taking one day off, at the most 2.... but 3 seems like quite a bit.

He must feel like they need to get their legs back or something?

That many days off to do what, exactly (outside of class, of course)? Sit around and play Xbox? I can see a day off, but what’s the point after that?

Very weird. Team seems fragile right now.

Even if you just took one day to work on nothing but boxing out, we'd be a lot better off.

Or a day just to work on pick and roll defense.

You get the picture.

Sometimes guys need time off to clear their head. Freshmen especially are probably starting to wear down a bit.

They had to play a lot minutes early in the year while guys were out.

If it is maybe Prohm is leaving it up to the players to use those 'days off' to get together and figure it out.

It was two years ago when ISU won at Kansas, then the next week sucked big time at Texas.

Still time to keep things going and get maybe 12 wins in conference.

I think that it’s a great time for a reset. Break your routine a little bit and maybe the guys will start playing a little more like that Maui squad. I still think this is a very good team.

Give the guys some time to themselves to regroup and refocus. I could see THT and Wiggs hitting the gym after the games they had. Honestly a good time for a game off

Yeah, and you often hear about guys losing weight and getting worn down over the course of the season. Talen and Tyrese are two of the youngest guys in college basketball. Good time to rest up, get some lovin’, and come back strong.

Yeah, 18-6 and the sky is falling. So many losers that only visit the site when things don't go well.

Well, you do know we have the worst coach, who either can't make adjustments or makes them too late? Team can't inbound either. They might not even win another game. Worst ISU played and coached game anyone has ever seen.

Seriously though, I'm on here a lot and the only "here on game day" negative trolls might be the real kick start I need to find something else to do on game days.

Whatever it takes to get the team back to doing what it was. If that means giving them the whole week off or strapping them to a chair taping their eyelids open and forcing them to watch this game on repeat for the week do it.

Let's not pretend like this effort was acceptable from this team, however. Today was embarrassing. Season still can end great, but today we were, to quote Coach Prohm "not very good."

Meh, my bar for embarrassment is much higher than that, and I’m quite certain that these players are competitors, and theirs is much higher as well. Not that any of them are happy about today.

It's a typical bye week schedule. The guys will still come in a shoot, but the coaches always use the by week to get out and recruit.

You guys jump on and make a big deal out of every little thing.
