Word.

Dark City should have been on my list....Kelly's Heroes as a Cult film? IDK about that.

Yeah, I wouldn't normally classify Kelly's Heroes or The Wild Bunch as "cult" movies, but with the demographic of these boards, they seem like they'd be lesser known and might qualify.

Anyone listing the Boondock Saints as a favorite should watch Overnight, a great documentary about the guy who made it.

I'm not sure if these qualify as "cult", but here's a few that haven't been mentioned:
Dark City
Dead Man
Kelly's Heroes
The Wild Bunch
The Tao of Steve

+1 on Dark City

I'm a sucker for noir, even though Kiefer's accent is really annoying.

Huge +1 for The Tao of Steve. I made my wife watch this one recently, and she also enjoyed it. Donald Logue is just incredibly funny.

FUBAR (if you have seen this movie, you're officially awesome)

Is the Big Lebowski still a "cult" classic if everyone has seen it?

Probably the same thing with Office Space... it didn't do well in the theater, but its wildly popular now.

doesn't "cult" imply a certain section of the population that likes it verses the rest?

I always thought "cult" meant that it flopped upon initial release but gained a level of popularity via word of mouth as time passed. This would implicate both Big Lebowski and Office Space.
