2024-25 roster: 42
signees: +4
seniors: -2?
departures: -9?

That unofficially leaves 35, without any incoming transfers. There's a lot of work to do and hard decisions to be made to get to 30.
If we're worried about getting to 30, how the eff are OSU and PSU going to do it? I assume the answer is $, but are they really throwing that much more than we can for 10-15 guys who will never see the mat? (also assume the answer is yes but seems crazy)

Where is Ok State roster at? They had a lot of seniors, but thought they had a lot of incoming freshman also

In 4 years as a starter he scored about as much as an NCAA champ scores in one season. What’s impressive about that?
The fact that guys like him and Downey aren’t recruited to be program changers. Parker did that.

Chittum and Swiderski are supposed to be that. The guys that develop and get on the podium once or twice, possibly 3 times if you’re lucky just elevate the team.

ISU has/had a handful of guys who can single handily carry the program like Carr, Bastida, Swiderski, Chittum. The guys like MJ, Frost boys, Riggins, Tate are guys who should be finding the podium once or twice with good coaching and practice partners. Those guys can get 10 points at nationals on a good weekend. The program shifters that carry the load can get 20+ and wrestle on Saturday night

From my perspective, Chittum was no where near being a program carrier. Not even close. In fact he doesn't even belong in the same sentence as Carr and Bastida. And Swiderski, points wise, on the brink. Seemed like a solid ra-ra guy, but also allegedly had his off the mat issues. Their importance to the program may be over valued.

Your perspective is based on what he's done lately. Coming out of high school he was the #1 p4p recruit, so yes he was supposed to be on the level of a program changer like a jesse mendez. There are a lot of similarities in those 2, except their results and progression.

JD wrote an article and either is completely disrespecting brayden thompson by not mentioning him at either 74/84/97, or he is hearing he will be going into the transfer portal. Either way, I don't see why he isn't even mentioned.

Personally think Thompson will end up at Ohio State.
