Between Burrow, Chase and Higgins, the Bengals have around $93 million in cap spending for the 2025 season. That's about a third of their cap.
Their management will prevent them from ever being consistently good. Why pay Chase and Higgins that much when they haven't been winning much lately with them lately anyway. They need help in other areas. You pay QB's, Tackles, and dominant defensive lineman. Everyone else can be replaced.

Seems.....almost cheap?

Yea, $33 million for an experienced, starting QB is a good price. I guess we will see if he can catch lightning in the bottle like the first dozen games at MN. His last couple were real stinkers.
