I'd guess the odds of making the first, missing the 2nd, getting the rebound and putting it back up and in are about the same.
Make the first - 75%
Miss the second - Assume pretty good if you're trying - 90%
Get the rebound - During the game, AU had 13 offensive rebounds compared to ISU's 27 defensive rebounds - 32.5%
Make the put back - AU was 19 of 37 on 2 pt shots - 51.4%

.75x.9x.325x.514 = 11.3%

Considerably higher odds

We have the same number of losses, and two of theirs are to SEC schools. Their leash is at least as long as ours.
Who cares about losses. We have way better wins. The resumes aren't even close right now. ISU is way better and Houston has some ground to make up. They have the schedule to do it. We'll see.

For those sky is falling folks who think that Iowa State is out of the running for a 1 seed. They just about got a 1 seed last year with 8 losses and 5 conference losses. Cool your jets
it won't line up like that this year, this version of the big 12 is watered down quite a bit compared to last years verson.

Look at Houston schedule and let me know which ones they are losing.
@TTU, and @AZ. Wouldn’t surprise me if WVU gets up for the game tomorrow night and makes it interesting. And they still have to play us

Yeah but big 12 regular season champ will have an inside track on the 1 seed. Even if it’s Houston with their poor non con
If last year is an indication...committee strongly considers non con. It also helps to have been ranked highly most of the year.

I’m not sure I trust the committee to be consistent year to year. Although basketball is usually better than football in that regard

Yeah, they lost to net #1, #7 ,and #42. We lost to #1, #15, and #43. Our losses are basically equal.

We're ahead right now because we've had a few more opportunities to pick up some nice wins. They'll have more opportunities than us the remaining stretch.

I'm not going to know what goes on in committee members heads, but winning the conference should not play into at all with unbalanced scheduling. We are at a significant disadvantage to Houston to win the conference based on schedule alone.
