Yeah. I'd like to have had our late tips on Wednesday nights if I had to pick a week day.
Yeah, Monday night is horrible. As a general contractor, I have to be at work by 6 AM so no chance I stay up for this one. Wish it would have been Wednesday since I'll be in Vegas on Wednesday and would love to sit in front of a slot machine while watching this game. Oh well.

9:30??? I guess I was under the impression this was a traditional Big Monday game or has Espn done away with that?

What a crock.

I'm gonna try and stay up for it. Will be a tall order to not wake up 2 sleeping kids. I think this is winnable, but this is gonna be wildly different than the environment on Saturday. I think we may drop this one, but it will be close either way.

Red Bull for you and NyQuil popsicles for the kids.

Lots of talk on Williams and Blum about their size. They are indeed long and big, guards are huge/physical guys, but it's worth noting that Krivas is done for the year (foot injury) and he was their best big and 7'2". They've got Veesaar who's 7' and comes of the bench, but the rest of their rotation is 6'3" to 6'8". So I don't think we'll be as overmatched as anticipated from a size standpoint.

They are really good offensive rebounding thought, so that's a concern for me. This will be a tough one and we'll need the best version of Keshon tonight and need Jackson/Chatfield to step up as well.

I would usually say this is a bonus game after the first win of a two game road trip, nothing to lose, but this ain't your papa or grandpapa's Iowa State team, this team should be expected to win every game so lets do that Clones.

16 green boxes in the 4 factors section is a rarity!

Both offenses like to play fast, and are pretty efficient, so it should be a game in the 80s.

Even with the 2 seven-footers they have the exact same average height as us.

They don't rely on the three-ball much, shooting almost the exact same number of attempts as us, but a slightly lower percentage (32% vs 35%). They are very effective close to the rim - getting there often and making a very high percentage of them - especially the bigs. They almost never shoot for further than 6' from the rim - the one seven-footer Veesaar has made 7 threes, but that's it.

Their biggest strength is offensive rebounding - especially (or almost exclusively) from their bigs. Awaka is a beast on the boards and will be a really good challenge for Jefferson. This is not a game where we will go small, unless we can exploit the seven-footers and force them off the court.
