switched over maybe get a win today
missed 3 basic layups late which did not help. could have put us up 6 but that was the breaks today.
Just like watching Joe Toussiant drop 20+ on us when we played WVU. The hawkeye in them has this game circled at the beginning of the year.
Two things are true...the refs sucked and we didn't deserve to win the way we played.
We hit even like 4 threes and we probably come away with a win....everyone has bad games. Auburn almost lost to Georgia on the road today. Florida lost to Mizzou the other day.

I hope our fanbase can see this game was an anomaly offensively and that we can’t just blame the refs every single game we lose or trail in.
That's dreadful, but hard to compile a lot of assists when nobody can hit a layup.
Addendum/caveat: Even w/ some converted short-shots wouldn't have added to assist total, since it became "drive, toss toward backboard & cross fingers" in several stretches.

No. Being impatient/pressing on offense has been an issue for a while.
It caught up today along with just not getting the rolls on a few.

This is a game that was begging for Milan at the 4 to force WVU to stop packing the lane.
Why would we drop below teams that lost to worse teams at home this week?
Worst officiating I've seen in a long time. Both ways, but they definitely got the benefit of the refs' incompetence.
That said, we weren't going to win them all anyway gang, so let's just get right against UCF at home.
I’m afraid it wasn’t officiating, fellas. 1-17 from 3. 19 to 2 fast break points. 14 to 4 steals. Officiating was far from the cause of the loss. Iowa state was just as, if not, more physical than WVU. Looks like fouls were called pretty fairly to me.
I just told my wife that watching other teams rush the court because they beat ISU just means we've made it!!
But it also means beating ISU is a big deal which is kinda cool I guess.
Except for the losing of course.
Tuesday will be interesting.
