They were also holding our guards on every screen and it only got called once. I have seen that quite a bit this year where for some reason the refs refuse to call the screener for a foul as they grab the defender to slow them down on their chase of the ball handler. It was just way more obvious today.

1-17 on 3s, that’s not a ref issue
The way the game was officiated impacted how we ran our offense. It was difficult to do anything at the rim. We need to be better than 1/17 for sure, but it has an impact.

The fact of the matter is the game needed to be called this way in order for WV to have a chance to win. It was called that way and we didn’t respond well. Both things are true. We had our chances.

You act like the refs don't affect this. It is harder for the team to get into a rhythm when there's non stop contact with no call. Especially inside, where our advantage was. That pushed us to need to make 3s, and we couldn't.

You couldnt ask for a better advantage from the refs for WVU.
We missed WIDE OPEN 3’s. I will repeat WIDE OPEN 3’s. We also missed lay ups. Layups sat on the rim and didn’t go in. It’s just one of those games. We lost.

But everyone wants to scream about refs but we played really bad. It’s ok to admit and move on to then next game. It’s being an adult.

But the game was called pretty consistently. We would have dreamed for a game called like this over the past few years. And then when it happens, we complain about the refs? Not from me. That game was 100% on our offense and offensively game plan. Too much hero ball and dribbling. We have FOUR assists. For the entire game. That’s not on the refs.

Played stupid, intimidated, unfocused, or maybe not as a good as WV.

What’s your problem with my post?

1-17 from 3 will not win anyone games. We lost and played like ****. They won.

What’s your deal?
Every post you’ve made today has been complaining about 3 pt shooting and tbh I’m just over it.

Sorry if I came off too strong

College basketball is a game of momentum and rhythm. While refs don’t affect the outcome, they affect rhythm and momentum. Refs can be bad and we can still play poorly which is what happened today

He scored seven points on 2/7 shooting dude
He didn’t need to score the other night. He played under control. He played great defense. He hit a key 3 to keep the momentum in the first half. We won by 17. Very odd to complain about his game on Wednesday. Very odd. He was also clutch AF down the stretch against Tech.

Yes, we did go 1 fer from three, AND the refs SUCKED as bad as I have seen in a long time. If we had won, I would not have said the refs were good!
Just last Saturday the refs “were as bad” as everyone has ever seen as well.

This is the correct answer.

Even join Walter's said the reffing was ass

It wasn’t good. I’m not defending the officiating for anything OTHER than it was consistently bad for both teams. Did Walter’s mention that or did he just lament the missed calls on ISU?

I love John, but he’s a homer, and rightfully so. He’s going to paint the picture the way Iowa State fans want to hear it.

It's because he doesn't actually understand and ball. One trick pony.

Refs sucked. Not DI quality. Bad both ways, but likely benefited VW because they used it to their advantage. They were more physical than us tonight.
