I feel shamed for only driving like 7.5-8 hours for it. I'll maybe consider taking a scenic route...10.5 hour dr for me. I'll be there

I will add to this - it's not just kids. I took off from work and came down alone for the 2011 OSU game. Mrs. Velo didn't come because it was a Friday and with kids in school and her work it wouldn't work. I asked my elderly Mom if she wanted to go and she went with me. She's 85 and she is starting to have memory issues, but she can damn well remember going to that game and how she asked to go down on the field after they stormed the field (we did go down on the field, by the way). She still talks about it. When she is long gone and I'm in my 80s myself I will still have that memory with her.Times like this are what kids remember.
There’s not that many sold. There’s holds out there.Ticket counter had 1,358 or something like that available last night.
61,500 - 1,358 = 60,142
Who called the fun policeThere’s not that many sold. There’s holds out there.
Then why aren't those 5K seats available to the public? Who can buy them if you can't buy them off the ISU ticket website?Haha we’re at less than 55k sold.
Google “ticket holds”.Then why aren't those 5K seats available to the public? Who can buy them if you can't buy them off the ISU ticket website?
Just act like it's 1965 when dads went to the bar while mom gave birthMy first child is due right around the day of game. 3 hour drive from our birth center to Ames. I’m as sicko as it gets, but I’ll be watching this one from the hospital.
I have never been to a baby shower. Do men go to them?My buddy had sex with his wife back in May, now I have to go to a baby shower.
I did, and can't understand why ISU would be holding tickets in this scenario. Is it the seats set aside for KSU?Google “ticket holds”.
I haven't either. But this one is a "couples" baby shower. The men will be drinking keg beer watching the game. The women will be opening gifts and saying "awwww how cute" way too much.I have never been to a baby shower. Do men go to them?
I don’t work for the ticket office. We do holds for every game. I’m the wrong person to ask why.I did, and can't understand why ISU would be holding tickets in this scenario. Is it the seats set aside for KSU?
I'm not sure why you won't just explain your position.
nearly every venue/team in the country does this and each has their own strategy or reason why...I did, and can't understand why ISU would be holding tickets in this scenario. Is it the seats set aside for KSU?

I wasn’t able to go to that game either, so I bought 10 tix and donated them to Big Brothers/Sisters of Ames. They were stunned and appreciative when I called them. I feel like the karma helped .I will add to this - it's not just kids. I took off from work and came down alone for the 2011 OSU game.
