That would be Barnes and Goodwin.

One was behind Bacon, Sadowsky, Lovett (and Brezina), the other behind McLaughlin, Brezina, Ellis and Klosterman. Probably with Willich in there somewhere. Maybe Imming.

So…more like fifth team.
@brentblum please enjoy a useless idea - injury lawyer who sponsors a commercial with Barnes & Goodwin, who are there to help their teammates. “Injured on the field? Call Barnes & Goodwin. Injured on the road? Call ___”

At this point in his career I think Rocco is better than Purdy.

Who knows if he ends with the same stats. And id be surprised if he's as beloved. But his arm strength and accuracy is something I don't remember as much with college purdy.

Hitting those go routes along the sideline last night was awesome.

I'll be interested to see the PFF grades for this game. I thought that was Rocco's best game of the year by a decent margin. His accuracy all over the field was crazy-good, can't think of a throw he missed. Most of the incompletions were throw-aways due to successful blitzes and get-rid-of-it-to-avoid-a-coverage-sack situations.

The Big 12 isn't getting three teams in, the system was not designed for Big 12, ACC and lower to get any more than 2 teams. I hate saying that but it is the truth.

ISU just needs to keep taking care of business and there will be a spot for them. The remaining schedule definitely gives ISU an incredible opportunity.
Doesn't hurt Arkansas beating Tennessee or Vandy beating Alabama. Lots of football to be played . I agree the system is fixed, but seasons end every team's resume will get looked at. A couple more upsets and you never know. I only care that we get in, and would laugh if Kstate had an argument and got snubbed. All these upsets do help the Big12 getting in 2 which I see about right. Once there if we make it I figured we'd get rolled. Not now. I think we'd give Penn State, Miami, Tennessee all the game they wanted.

I went to bed last evening as content as I've ever been after an ISU football game. A night game in Morgantown has the possibility of going awry, but I wasn't concerned leading up to kickoff and I wasn't particularly worried after their opening drive resulted in 7 points. The word which keeps coming to mind is "methodical" - the Cyclones simply imposed their will on WVU. Starting OL goes down early - no problem. Scout team Freshman LB on the field - go make plays! Methodical - grind them down with Carson Hansen then take a shot with our plethora of capable downfield receivers. I even agree with those who suggest we haven't played our best ball yet. Next up - UCF - let's go State!
One word describes the 10 play, 33 yard TD drive that took 6:43 to put ISU up 18 points with under 5 minutes to play: METHODICAL

You are giving way too much credit that the committee will be completely unbiased when it comes to playoff selection. There is a reason they are using a committee (vs unbiased computer rankings) and a loose goal of "the 12 best teams". They can change the goal posts to get teams from certain conferences by changing from SOS, eye test, head to head, etc as needed so the Big Ten and SEC get their 4+ number. The SEC and Big Ten will get their 4, Big 12 should get 2 but they will find a way to get that down to 1, ACC will probably get 2 just because they still have traditional "blue bloods" in the conference. And that leaves the best Group of 5 team.

I hope I am wrong but the CFP committee has never made sense in the past except they are trying to get certain teams in. Now it will be certain conferences for the at large spots.

Didn't sail one pass I can remember last night. Puts his passes on a dime. Those cross field passes throwing against his body are incredible. I keep expecting a pick, but he puts too much zip on the ball. He hit one of our TE's last night that way which has to be one of the better passes I've seen anyone make.

Curious how it will go.

Not many losses in the top 10 this week. Ohio State but they lost to #3 so they'll stay in the top 10.

And notre dame, who tied us for #11 last week, had a more dominant win.

Ole Miss will drop, but we could easily end up sitting at 11th still tomorrow with Notre dame at #10

You forgot the detail that Stanford is absolute s*** ... ND was at home, favored by like 23, ISU won at WVU.

I get it. I wasn't expecting TCU to make the playoffs, but they did. I see both BYU and Iowa State needing to be undefeated going into the Big12 championship game to get the 2. We play Kstate so that doesn't bode well for one of us. Just saying Kstate is as good or better team than team #4 out of the Big10 and maybe the SEC.

Just very different QBs. Purdy could put the ball anywhere as long as the pass was 15 yards or less. Had trouble with the long ball. Rocco is settling and finding his touch very nicely on the long ball after some early season struggles. He admits he has had a hard time throwing to his left on shorter patterns. Both were just winners. That last bit is mental makeup.

He had one second half where he threw it short to an open WR along the WV sideline

But agree he was good. Especially 3rd down when he had time

That is why I was a little disappointed ISU didn’t punch it in at the end. Got to impress people that really don’t want to give ISU credit for being at the top.
