I think Rocco must have been having a shoulder issue. Someone mentioned he fell hard on it in the Arkansas State game. After one attempt early on, I don't think we even tried to throw it downfield. My guess is he was limited, and Houston defense picked up on this and knew we weren't going deep. Hopefully it's not a long-term thing.

This what we all thought it would look like after week 5, right?

I expected more from OSU but I think there's talent there and they'll get it figured out.

KU is surprising and I'm whiffing on CU so far; they looked pretty solid on both sides of the ball yesterday.

For as bad as BU started vs. BYU they found a way to have a chance late and I'll expect a tough game next week.

Fun conference imo.

Was the offense a well-oiled machine? No

Was the defense good enough to keep them in it and win? Yes

Its good they were good enough to win without their fastball last night.
Agreed!

Playing like that against almost any other Big 12 team probably would have been a L.

But we’ll take it! Win and advance…. move on. Some guys are NOT going to enjoy film room.

For how much Houston was stacking things up ISU ran the ball fairly well on the whole.

Hopefully it's just something that needs more time but we might see Moberly after all if Becht can't get right.

Houston does have some dudes on the DL. I didn't know what the hell the announcers were talking about when they kept talking about how big our OL was compared to their DL because their DL had some big athletic dudes.

I didn't know what the hell the announcers were talking about a lot of the game.

Most game announcing teams are simply not good any more but they were 1993 ESPN2 level.

Or the Seneca heisman year
I still remember that day (I was at work) watching the pregame show with Seneca wearing a Roman toga and all the Heisman hype … only to see Iowa State get absolutely destroyed in Norman.

6-1 (including the robbed FSU game) and riding high … ending the season 1-6 being outscored 275-125.

That was my takeaway on UH too. Those DLs are real good. Their defense is real good.

They get better on offense somehow thru the season and they will win a few games. Hopefully against Utah and KSU...

That was the perfect set up for OU's 'sit right here' moment to ISU.

That would suck if this is a long term nagging issue for him. We need him healthy to have the kind of season we want. If it is not better after two weeks off, then I fear it could be a long term thing. Also, does something like this prevent him from getting reps in practice? If he is indeed having a shoulder issue, I wonder if we are better off putting a 100% Moberly out there instead of an injured Rocco? But, we pay people big bucks to figure that out I guess.

Here's the penalty on Barrett (#61) in the 3rd that took away the score by Higgins. Lame way to lose an all-timer TD catch for sure but looks like the right call, strictly speaking.

Yeah, it was the right call, though I am wondering if that play was an RPO. If it was, that happens from time to time as the linemen are kind of guessing what is happening behind them.

They haven’t had two weeks off. It happened during the ark state game

I think KSU fell victim to some Mormon magic. They looked very dominant vs an admittedly disappointing oSu team, but it was still impressive. Still think that game will be tough out. If we can figure out the offense, the rest of the schedule looks very winnable right now.

What a wild week in the Big 12. I love this new UT/OU-less conference!
No kidding. It's like the stuck up couple that everyone hates finally left the party and the level of fun for everyone remaining, including the new folks who recently joined the party, has gone up dramatically.
