We sucked tonight but a win is a win. We can’t win the big 12 like this performance though. Rocco needs to get more accurate

I'll go to my grave and say that Dan McCarney deserved to coach here until he didn't want to anymore. But....I am so happy about where we are.

We are still a tick off from really seeing this offense hit it's rhythm. I think that's a good thing. Want to peak at the end of the year and get through the early season without injury and a bad loss.
If ISU gets up 20-0 at half by finishing off a couple of drives but still looking kind of clunky would that mean they played well?
Houston does have some dudes on the DL. I didn't know what the hell the announcers were talking about when they kept talking about how big our OL was compared to their DL because their DL had some big athletic dudes.
You can win 20-0 and not play well at all. Happens all the time.
We did pretty much suck most of the game, and the poster was correct that playing like we did tonight won't get it done in the Big 12. But a sign of a good team is still winning 20-0 when you don't play well. You take ugly wins and move on. Guys did great to gut it out and still pull out the win tonight.
Also.. it wasn't humid today in Houston. Dew point in the 50's all day I believe. But it was hot.

You can admit your team didn't play well at all... but still be thrilled they were good enough to pull out a win.
I can admit we sucked most of the night... and still be happy we won.
You can win 20-0 and know you were never even threatened in the game.
1st half was not good offensively, but let us not overlook that defensive performance tonight. The only time they got close, we picked them off. Houston is not good, but this team had what it needed in the second half and that was good. We beat the spread. I think I’d rather have 20-0 than 41-21 or giving up points to that team. Defense was great tonight.
