Big 12 Radio went after Tang a little bit this morning. Basically they think Tang handled things poorly.
The story is Tang is a fraud, this is a solid line in that story though. Jesus in the street.
Also TJ and the University would like this to disappear. Going to the courts would make it even a bigger **** show.Public figures have an enormous bar to clear in order to win defamation cases. Newspapers are also provided with significant first amendment protections when it comes to libel. The only outcome here is significant legal expenses for the university (and everyone from ISU involved here is well aware)
That dude stood at mid-court looking straight into the ISU huddle during timeouts the whole game.KSU watching Iowa State huddle
My understanding is that they had a guy midcourt observing the Iowa State timeouts all during the game. I was not there to verify this but saw I picture posted.
Too bad Dresser didn’t go out and tell the kid- “Don’t stand on our logo ever again.”That dude stood at mid-court looking straight into the ISU huddle during timeouts the whole game.
Here he is standing between the cheer squads at mid court. Heavy duty note taking.

As a coach you WANT officials warning your players before they get called for play that is borderline. It gives them an opportunity to adjust their play before getting negative consequences. As a former official myself I often warned players about borderline play before blowing the whistle. I'm giving you a chance to change your behavior before you suffer the consequences.Regarding Tang's comments on said official, there is nothing wrong with an official saying to a player, "If you continue to play that way, you're going to foul out of this game." That is not chirping. That is trying to manage a game.

As a follow up to this, how often have you seen a referee stop play before it starts to clean things up on the lane on a FT attempt or on an inbounds play. No foul is called but the referee talks to the players and cleans up play. This is the is similar to what Tang is complaining about. As a coach you WANT officials warning your players before they get called for play that is borderline. Tang is just dumb.
They were citing that Houston and OK State had concerns and contacted KState. I talked to a Houston guy that's pretty tuned in and he says Houston didn't contact KState. OK State is trash so why would we spy on them? Not to mention, the seats occupied by the people they thought were filming their huddle were empty for the OK State game. They are using other schools to try to provide cover at this point.I watched a few minutes of a "GoPowercat" pod with some idiot by the nickname "Fitz." According to him - and he "never reveals sources" - his sources were other Big 12 assistant coaches (who were on some sort of group text) who believe that the Cyclones have some sort of spying system in place. So, evidently, that justified Tang's accusations. The other idiots on that pod also blamed TJ for making this a huge news story (basically absolving Tang and his assistants of ANY wrong-doing). The fact that Kansas newspapers ran with the story during the week, then was subsequently picked up by national media, and then was compared to the Harbaugh/Michigan situation apparently didn't warrant a rebuttal by TJ. KSU was probably my most-hated team in the Big8/12. I had a niece & nephew graduate from there during the Weber & late-Vampire years, so my hatred had cooled off considerably (BU, UT and OU had been much more hated by me). Now? Their teams, fans, & media are in full Hok-delusion territory. I will not root for them to win any game remaining on their schedule - including their games with KU!
When the story hit the national media, TJ really had no choice but to definitively deny the accusations. I went to a KSU message board and the fans were blaming the media. So I think they realize Tang is embarrassing himself and are looking to give him a way out.The other idiots on that pod also blamed TJ for making this a huge news story (basically absolving Tang and his assistants of ANY wrong-doing). Tang is trying to deflect. He know spying well.

Is that like, "He who smelt it, dealt it."?Based in what the video and still shot show, I think Tang and company are the ones doing the spying. As my dad would say, "a fox smells its own hole first".
Bump. They are now 0-4 since Tang's meltdown in Hilton. Mentally soft.I tell you one thing he is good at.. creating distractions for his team. Here I thought his teams would be mentally tough but they are soft as soft can be because of his demeanor.
