I've lived all over the nation, all with something that makes it uniquely beautiful. Nowhere is better than anywhere else. At least not in a sweeping fashion. Ames is beautiful in its own way. And, above most it's the people that define its beauty. I traveled to every Big8 (yes. that old) school during college. Everywhere, again, had something truly wonderful about it.
When I played at other schools, I was the one reaching down to pick the opponent up off the ground. If nothing else, a show of respect and good sportsmanship.
I watched the replay yesterday. I'm truly confounded how people can get so worked up over trivial matters. While I laughed at the people behind the bench when he got the "T", at the same time I was truly embarrassed how adults could behave so childishly. I guess I was just raised in an era with a little more respect and cordiality.
How is the air up there?

Barely get mentioned?? It's already being reported in regional and national media!

When someone makes a baseless allegation that your program is cheating, and the national media picks up on that allegation, you don't sit back and remain quiet.
I think you do for now. Focus should be on the game tomorrow.

K-State fans went from
-Tang was called a racial slur
To fans were throwing stuff at the bench
To A security guard texting plays to ISU coaches

Sounds like they are just throwing a bunch of s#it against the wall to see what sticks rather than take the L and move on. Since K-State bloggers said it happened, SI picked it up (even though SI is closer to Deadspin than a reportable news source anymore).

JP acknowledging it and putting out a statement only begs the actual news sources to pick up on it even if it’s baseless since the AD put out a statement. If it really happened, the Big 12 would put out a statement like the Big Ten did with Michigan. So far, nothing..as expected.

We are probably in the same ballpark as Manhattan is a nice community. Ames is too. But to say that our student bases and campus areas are similar, I disagree. Totally different feel.
I got a degree from one and spend several days a year at the other. I’d say they’re very similar.

The second we respond, it's all that gets talked about tomorrow. If we let it go for now, it'll barely get mentioned. JP saying anything in the next 20 hours would just be a distraction. See how it progresses over the weekend, and if you need to say something on Monday, do it then.

The only response should be to the Big 12 with our findings. Then it’s the Big 12’s responsibility to demand their coaching staff issue a public apology and revoke the press pass for guys like Kurtz to all Big 12 events.

These KSU dorks are conspiracy theory nerds. No use trying to appease them.

We must have a talented cheer squad. They have xray vision to see the Tang’s white board.

Now that the national media is reporting the allegation, I think it's time that Jamie Pollard step in and give a public response. This is no longer a small issue that's gonna be resolved privately between two coaches.

The longer we remain silent, the more folks are gonna believe there must be some element of truth to the allegation.

ISU is gonna be on the main stage tomorrow with a nationally televised game on CBS, so Jaime needs to set the record straight quickly.
No he doesn’t

Here's what I can't quite figure on this. Your average basketball timeout is, what, 2 minutes? So in the course of that 2 minutes someone is going to take a picture, send it to a staff member, that staff member is going to review their phone , figure out what they are looking at, explain it to a member of the coaching staff (because you obviously can't just show them a picture on your phone mid game) and they are going to draw something up to stop what they've seen? That makes absolutely no sense.
I guess the spy cameras installed into the floor in front of visitor bench with see through tech to read top side of marker boards and RF transmission to a tablet at the ISU bench is finally operational
