Omaha doesn’t play. Even when he isn’t warming the bench nobody lets him touch the ball. He bears absolutely no responsibility for the atrocity that just occurred on the offensive end of the floor
Not really sure why this got reacted to like this. Guy is a top 15 recruit in the country and played 5 minutes total tonight while two of his teammates went a combined 2-14 from the field and 1-6 from the free throw line. Tonight was not his fault in literally any way.

It's fascinating that Chris has a pod with Larry last week, and they discuss how the Elite 8 team lost to Drake early in the season. I think some posters may want to listen to that segment.
It was the first game of that season. I agree it is too early to panic this season though. But make no mistake about it, that team was extremely way more talented than this one, talented enough to win it all.

The offense needs to run through MM in the high post, out of a need for some consistency, IMO. It'll help create opportunities for Billiew and King and let perimeter shooters spot up more which should help with those in a slump getting their own shots off the dribble.

They. Have. Shooters! We do NOT…. period.

Same story as last night. Our only hope down the stretch last night and tonight was to have Tamin or Gilbert literally plow into the lane and crash into people, flail their arms in the air and hope they call a foul.

Only difference…. last night we made some of those FTs and VCU choked on the other end. Tonight we missed ‘em…. and VT didn’t.

Everyone that was prematurely excited about last night’s lucky win, came back to reality a bit tonight…. even though we didn’t play any better last night and there were GLARING weaknesses on our squad if you were being anywhere near realistic.

The list of issues with this team is quite long tbh. You can admit it or deny it.
The real glaring weakness is this team is not good enough on offense to win with it. They need to be lights out on D to have any real chance to win a game against any team that doesn't have home games in a church gym.

Everyone just reacting my posts with dumb but won’t actually argue with me. Change my mind on Curtis Jones! I’d love to have any optimism on him but he seems like the worst player we have
He’s doing a lot of things aside from shooting that are winning plays. His career #s say shots will start to fall.

Gabe, Grill, Donovan Jackson, young Matt T are examples we know that struggled to hit but eventually found their stride.

I have nothing other than career 3pt % to base that off of, but writing him off when staff seem to be believing in him seems futile.

Great teams take losses and play bad in November, yep not relevant at all.
Right, and referencing a game from 23+ years ago means fans cannot express frustration from HOW the team played the last couple of games here to start our current season (and the negative trends that seem to remind of past negative trends under this staff), do I have that right? Perspective right!? Just one game, right?

Easy to say that in retrospect. At the time of the Drake loss, it didn't look like that.

No, but it's a good example of why melting down after one loss in November and making grand proclamations about players is really stupid.
