Given what we're all assuming with Dekkers, who do you want to start at QB?

Particularly early in the season, coaches want to minimize turnovers. Consistency is often the result of the number of repetitions a player has performed. Tanner Hughes has easily taken the most (live action) snaps, going into Fall camp.
This is news to me. How do you know this regarding Hughes?

I was referring to the number of game (live-action) snaps. Drills, 7 on 7, and scrimmages are important; but, they are not the same as what takes place in a game.

Obviously, I want the QB who gives ISU the best chance of winning. I doubt anyone on the board has sufficient information to make such a decision. My best guess is Rocco will begin the year as starting QB. However, JJ could replace him during the season if Rocco falters or if he becomes more comfortable with the offense and speed of the game.

He’s never playing again anywhere.
You are probably right. Out for college. There is always pro ball somewhere (other than NFL), where he could maybe make his way back. But QB is a position of leadership, and he did not make good leadership decisions here. What coach would want him, give him a second chance?

Not in the NCAA abut he can drop down to a lower level school and play. Most likely is at a school like Morningside.

I think Rocco will pleasantly surprise to start the year, sort of like Purdy his first couple games. Then the BXII will be a grind once film is out on him

He could go NAIA. Someone on a thread somewhere said Dekkers was hanging about Dort University this summer, and we may now know the reason why.
You think a school takes a chance on a guy who was betting on his own team?
