You're injecting a ton of semantics to dodge the overall point that there was no need to sell Twitter until Elon came around with a ridiculous offer. They were operating just fine and would have continued to do so without this sale. Twitter wasn't going under.Stock price from 2010-2018 says otherwise. Capitalized on Covid. Biggest jump during Musk anticipation. So, you're not exactly correct when you say 'never', unless you think investors are financially inept. Tons of revenue and tons of investment do not make a successful company; especially in light of their expenses. Tons of investment 'suggests' a bright future because there's buyer's optimism, but it still weighs on the books and must see a return. So, though what you wrote has some good points, one should never say 'never'.
She might as well have dropped a “synergy” in there.
This is all not that different than one of us burning 44 billion to be king mod of CF.
I low key miss AIM.Should have named it xX_Twitter420_Xx. Way cooler.
As someone who's coolness peaked in the 90s I 100% approve this message.
So does mod privileges, Surly.Ownership has privileges. X is cool. Twitter was kind of soft.
The founder's first job was at......wait for it.......XDrive.Are they? It's lower than 2021 and 2022 (although still quite high).
It's definitely possible it will break and become unusable due to lack of maintenance, but I think it's more likely it will just stick around as a shell of itself. MySpace is still around
I don't see how you can really look at Twitter since Musk took over and go "yep, Musk is doing an amazing job"
The advertisers imbedded there get more and more fringy and offensive by the day.Blackmailing companies. Brilliant!
