I think you would be shocked, a buddy of mine blew a .38 once. Should you drink and drive no? Has everyone on this site probably done it? Yes. People act like Huggins is protesting the special Olympics

He's damn lucky he didn't kill anyone.
Probably many of us have never done it, and have always been responsible enough not to. Don't normalize this.

Too many. I guess that makes it OK.
Or you're a drunk who needs to justify his bad decisions. I've made my pick.
I think people are just blind, I’m not a “drunk” but yeah I can admit I’ve drank and drove above a .08 many times in my life. There are 80,000 people every home game Saturday in the fall for home games and at least half of them drink 4 hours before the game every game. You think they are magically sober after the game? Doesn’t work that way.

Do you have a friend in AA??
Yes he has been 40-years sober and leads nightly groups in LA after going dry and going to and administering meetings three nights per week out there for 40-years. He knows his business and what he's talking about in regards to Huggins and John Barleycorn. He told me this week that on average a DUIer doesn't get caught by the coppers until his 88th DUI.

Just saying don’t throw stones, no one got hurt thank god. It’s cost him 2 jobs now, 1.5 million people get them every year. How many of those lose a job over it?
Well OK. But he is a public figure, knows better and yet still made the decision to get behind the wheel while heavily intoxicated. And I doubt .21 is just a couple of beers in 2 hours. Saying otherwise is denying the obvious.

I'll be the last to throw stones, but... But I also don't have a loved one who was killed by a drunk driver. There is little room for discretion here.

I will repeat, don't normalize this. You should not drink and drive.

That probably should be the end statement. Letting someone who has been drinking decide if he/she has or hasn't had too much to drink before driving, is not going to work out well half the time.

It's also pretty disgusting to have to pick up MT beer cans along the side of a (our) country road. Many people don't see the problem with that either, or just don't give a damn. Drinking and diving is wrong. Littering is wrong. Someone who is drinking and driving and littering is somehow disgustingly wrong.

Do you also drink and drive and litter? Care to defend that?

Weird pick but he was a Huggins' favorite when he was in Kansas but was mostly a administration guy with some coaching only his last two years at West Virginia. Maybe there were players saying they would stay if he got to be coach for a season.

Sorry I’m late, are we doing the “lots of people drive drunk so it’s fine” thing?
Yep, no cops on the road anymore either, just speed cameras so nothing to worry about... Other than wiping out an entire family on their way to church.
