Plus, I'm saving the university a ton of $, so now Bobcats is making his donation and the South Endzone will be open in time for Spring Game.

It's RIDICULOUS we don't have someone hired by now... all those people who said, "we're waiting for signing day" were WRONG because it's a week later and we're still sitting here with no DC. How have we not hired our staff right now? That is usually the first thing coaches do. Round out their staff, and go from there. Who knows when we'll hire this guy, and for that matter... who cares now... it's a mockery we don't have one by now, so what's another month or two....

I would like to see Rhoads assume the DC duties. I'm all for him doing the exact opposite of what ever Chizm did. Plus Rhoads has Bleil to help him with the head coaching duties. I don't think Chizm had a guy like Bleil on his staff.

Still not likely to happen as Rhoads already publicly stated he's planning to hire someone to be DC.

I don't think Rhoads assuming the DC duties would be a good idea, especially for a first year head coach... Maybe down the line when he gets a better idea of managing the time, but not right off the bat...

Dude, back up off the ledge! Really, what good does a DC (or LB or WR coach) do us right now? The coaches can't have any real contact with the players right now anyway. CPR has said that he wanted 7 coaches so that he could have the full allotment on the road for recruiting. He did that and they put together the class. Then he had to have his S&C coach in place when the players came back to campus. He did that.

The only thing a DC could do right now is start planning spring practice...which is still over a month away. I think that it needs to happen in the next week or so, but we're not exactly in a hurry now since it can't have any affect on recruiting.
