You said "If you aren't into podcasts then you aren't into college football"

Personally I think what you said is dumb. I watch tons of college games but I don't watch sports talk shows, listen to sports talk radio or podcasts because I don't really care what the "talking heads" have to say. I enjoy watching the games, I don't need to listen to or watch people talking about the same thing over and over.

I don't listen to sports podcasts or sports radio and I am totally a College football dork. Same with Basketball. Sports radio is the dumbest thing ever. Listen to 2 people talk to each other about sports and then a bunch of dudes call in to give a terrible opinion on that sport. It never made sense to me.

That's insane. What was the scope of the baseball betting? Was it impacting their games or is it on the same level as what ISU players supposedly did? I thought I heard whatever the baseball players did was more egregious somehow.
It all stems from a paranoia about point shaving. Such a joke...

Am I the only one that thinks if they were gambling (and knew that shouldn't), they should be kicked off the team? I don't care who it is. Seems like it would be a good "culture"/"winning in the margins" move.

I will hold off until it actually happens and I'm judging, and the 'body language' thing is overplayed but one of the names in particular just may be at a point where moving on is a best option.

You're not. I'm on both sides a little. I think if they did it and it was drilled into them that it was against the rules, I don't have a problem with them being dismissed. Now, if they bet on so and so to win the Australian Open, I think it's stupid to kick someone off.

Lol you're really sticking to this podcast=nerd thing? It's just a different media entertainment channel. Instead of tuning into a 30-minute SEC infomercial on ESPN, you get 60-90 minutes of discussion about every conference. You should give it a try if it doesn't threaten your masculinity. Boomer.

Which podcast is talking in depth about every conference and how much impact does it have vs. watching the games?

Podcasts are great to find something specific perhaps, but they're still just people talking and it's probably going to just be what the listener wants to hear.

Winning in the margins isn't a thing. It can be preached all they want, but not something that actually happens or shows up on the field.
