I remember when I could listen to this with kids around. Now it’s as bad as the Iowa Everywhere pods I gave up on. Seems like an odd thing for people this age to constantly be so profane.

I mean, its a sunday night pod usually recorded while theyre sipping some beverages. They frequently discuss alcohol and gambling, both of which you have to be 21+ to participate in as well.

Honestly though, words are just words. The idea that some words in and of themselves are 'bad', without some significant negative accompanying context (either in accompanying content or historically) has always seemed silly to me. As for "people this age", im the same age as Chris and Brent and I've never found their usage of profanity to be particularly abnormal for anyone my age.

I don't recall much swearing in their normal "day-job" podcasts.

This one is explicitly marketed as an after-dark/adults-only version of the product.

Might be better just to adjust your rotation so this isn't one that plays while the kids are around.

I agree. They aren't doing these podcasts for kids anyway.

I was at the UConn/Iowa State football game when a UConn fan threw Cy off of a set of stairs, breaking the mascots arm. Those were mean fans and one of them almost clocked me for just cheering on the Cyclones. Fortunately I invited a friend who was a former bouncer who saw that coming and ran interference. It was a night game and since the stadium was nowhere near the Storrs campus they could sell alcohol. I of course didn't drink (and I have a witness) because I was driving, but those fans were lit up.

More people showed up to the game to get autographs from the BB team than to see the game.

Just say no to UConn for both BB and FB.

They’re just f*cking words. Kids don’t give two sh*ts.

For the literal dozens of us ISU alum in the northeast it would be pretty neat to have a big 12 school up here so we could watch games in person every other year. I'm not sure it's the right choice, unless Yormark knows we can get mega bucks for basketball.
We're never getting close on the football side so maybe it makes sense to lean hard into basketball, I just don't want football to suffer... we've suffered enough lol

UConn is never gonna be an add to the Big12. However, they are useful as a stalking horse for real adds, and to keep the news cycle on the Big12.

Only way anything actually happens involving UConn is a bball only mega-league/association of some kind, including all of the BigEast, Zags, etc.

Adding UConn would be absolutely stupid.

In fact, I think the Big 12 should drop WV and get out of the NE U.S. altogether and go west and grab ASU, AZ, CO, and Utah if possible.

As for the podcasts, I don’t mind the swearing at all on these podcasts, kinda like some of it actually…. but for some reason I can’t stand when JorBo does it all the time on Iowa Everywhere. He just throws in a bunch of F words all the time for no reason.

CW and Hassell use profanity in a very fun way…. I like that!!

For all intents and purposes, if all we have up there in West Virginia, we aren’t really in the northeast.
