I see Mizzou got beat by Va Tech this week. Looks like Mizzou didn't wrestling Surtin at 125 or Jaques at 157

Also, another relatively close match for O'Toole against a guy he should be majoring.
I watched. VT also had two starters out. Not too many surprises and teams were evenly matched. Hart v Casey & Elam v Younger will be something to see. Carr & O'Toole too of course, but he had his hands full for most of the match & wasn't overly impressive. Finishing ahead of both these teams will be a challenge at Nationals, but doable.

It stuns me how many guys play right into Cook's hands lol. He's absolutely electric though! All or nothing type of guy. In his 4 years at SDSU he has 35 wins by fall. In matches that don't end in WBF he's only 16-16. Wild.

I think Carter Schmidt was beating him at the Daktronics Open this season until half through the 3rd and got pinned in 6:42.

This is Iowa State and not Twitter so against the post title but ran across this interview with Metcalf

This fantastic stuff. I hadn’t heard that story before about how Dresser barely got him.

Really enjoyed learning more about coach Metcalf. As someone who grew up in north central Iowa and moved to Michigan many years ago, I appreciated his points about the wrestling culture in Iowa vs many other states. People here often don’t believe me when I describe standing room only crowds in high school basketball gyms for wrestling meets . It really was something special and I hope it’s continuing today.
